Het massieve fichte bovenblad is het verschil ten opzichte van het populaire model MC48CCE. Waar de MC48CCE met ceder bovenblad, direct en warm klinkt, klinkt deze MC48SCE door het fichte bovenblad helder en ronder in het hoog en geeft deze gitaar de dynamische verschillen beter weer. De mahonie zij- en achterkanten geven daar een lichte ondertoon aan en flatteren het beginnende gitaarspel.
Martinez combineert traditionele gitaarbouw methoden uit Spanje met een moderne productiewijze. Daardoor zijn hier zowel de mooie, Spaanse klank als ook de moderne bespeelbaarheid te vinden.
De trussrod in de hals heeft een niet-zichtbare toegang wat het traditionele uiterlijk onderstreept, de trussrod zorgt ervoor dat de hals altijd de juiste instelling heeft. Uw muziekwinkelier stelt deze gitaar met precisie voor u af. De sleutel voor deze stelpen is meegeleverd in de originele doos.

Dit is de uitvoering met positieholte die het gemakkelijker maakt in de hogere posities te spelen. Met het ingebouwde elementsysteem is deze gitaar ook gelijk klaar voor podiumgebruik. Hiervoor is de hals ook 2 mm smaller gemaakt. Het speelcomfort neemt door de smallere hals enorm toe, vooral als de gitaar staand bespeeld wordt.
Het element is van de kwaliteitsfirma Fishman en zorgt voor een natuurlijk geluid bij uitversterking. De regelunit die in de zijkant van de gitaar is ingebouwd heeft een volumeregelaar, bass en treble regelaars, een phase schakelaar die helpt rondzingen te voorkomen en een ingebouwd stemapparaat.

The MC48 is Martinez’ best selling guitar for music school students, here it is presented in a stage-worthy variation. This cutaway version has a narrower neck, making it easier to play this guitar standing up on stage.

Martinez marries the traditional Spanish construction with modern features as excellent playability and a modern trussrod to have the most stable neck possible. The new hidden acces truss rod allows for easy set-ups and for stability without interfering with the tone. This new lightweight trussrod is the latest innovation that sets Martinez apart from the crowd.

The MC-48S has a clear and full sound with great dynamic range, The fullness of the higher notes is outstanding in this model.This is typical for a guitar with a spruce top. It is a different tonal color than the cedar top version of this guitar. The mahogany sides and back make the sound light and forgiving.
