De Martinez MC88S heeft dezelfde klassieke houtcombinatie als de MC58S. Echter, het ontwerp van de klankkast is geheel anders waardoor deze MC88S anders klinkt.<br>De klankkast is iets groter en daardoor is de klank van deze MC88S luider, verfijnder, geeft meer detail weer en heeft deze gitaar een betere projectie. Aspecten die helpen in het laten horen van meer geavanceerde speeltechnieken. De palissander zij- en achterkant geven meer volume en definitie, de massief Europees fichte top klinkt helder, met een mooi rond in het hoog en met een groot dynamisch bereik.<br>De afwerking is luxe, deze gitaar heeft luxe houten bindingen rond de klankkast en de stemmechanieken werken preciezer.<br><br>Martinez combineert traditionele gitaarbouw methoden uit Spanje met een moderne productiewijze. Daardoor zijn hier zowel de mooie, en moderne Spaanse klank als ook de moderne bespeelbaarheid te vinden.<br>De trussrod in de hals heeft een niet-zichtbare toegang wat het traditionele uiterlijk onderstreept, de trussrod zorgt ervoor dat de hals altijd de juiste instelling heeft. The Martinez MC88S model has a combination of solid spruce and rosewood tone wood. At first sight, the same as the MC58S, however, the bodyshape is slightly larger and the total finishing is more luxurious. The machine heads are more precise and look more luxurious. The MC88S has beautiful real wooden bindings and luxurious tie block. Most important however is that the sound is more refined with great projection. The rosewood sides and back give the instrument a dark definition and depth, the solid European spruce top adds a clear tone with a lot of body. The spruce top is more dynamic than cedar and will develop to an even better sound than it has when brand new.<br><br>This Martinez guitar has new features such as the angled bone saddle and the lightweight trussrod with hidden access.
