The Martinez MC88SCE is the modern cutaway verison of the MC88S with a narrower neck for improved playability. The installed Fishman Presys Blend is a dual source system, undersaddle pickup plus microphone, which sounds very natural. The added microphone really lets this system breathe and amplifies all the small details. The machine heads are more precise and look more luxurious. The MC88SCE has beautiful real wooden bindings and luxurious tie block. Most important however is that the sound is more refined with better projection. The rosewood sides and back give the instrument definition and depth, the solid European spruce top adds a clear tone with a lot of body.
