Noord-Amerikaanse elzenhouten body
Een populaire keuze voor de meeste basgitaren is een Noord-Amerikaanse elzen body. Andere bassen in deze prijsklasse gebruiken meestal basswood of agathis toonhout, maar Sire Guitars kiest voor het traditionele Noord-Amerikaanse elzenhout dat bekend staat om zijn sterke, heldere en volle geluid, met stevige middentonen en uitstekende lage tonen wat perfect is voor het traditionele jazz basgeluid.

Topkam van been
De topkam is een van de belangrijkste onderdelen van de gitaar die de prestaties, bespeelbaarheid en toon van het instrument beïnvloedt. Afhankelijk van de kwaliteit van het materiaal en de elasticiteit, kan de topkam de klank verbeteren of verslechteren. Hoewel de topkam van been duurder en moeilijker te bewerken is, wordt aangenomen dat hij evenwichtiger, helderder en vloeiender klanken voortbrengt dan plastic of andere materialen.

Ebben toets
De toets is gemaakt van zeer dicht ebbenhout dat heldere, scherpe en goed afgeronde tonen levert.

Marcus Heavy Mass brug
De Marcus Miller SIRE V7 bas is uitgerust met de nieuw ontworpen Marcus Heavy Mass Standard brug die speciaal ontwikkeld is op verzoek van Marcus Miller. Deze brug heeft kenmerken van een vintage jazz bas, maar dan met zwaarwegende zadels, waardoor de bas een rijk en punchy geluid krijgt. De nieuwe Marcus Heavy Mass Standard brug is een string-through body brug mechanisme dat een strakkere, meer accurate, en stabiele toon mogelijk maakt.

Afgeronde toetsranden
Een echt customshop kenmerk
We hebben de algehele bespeelbaarheid naar een hoger niveau getild met de afgeronde toetsranden. Wat normaal alleen customshops kunnen bereiken, is nu beschikbaar in de Sire 2nd Gen series. Deze afgeronde randen geven spelers een steviger en natuurlijker greep, vergeleken met de standaard fretboards.We waren ons bewust van de moeilijkheden die we zouden tegenkomen in onze ambitie om de afgeronde toetsranden in een massaproductiefabriek toe te passen. Samen met het productieteam werkten we onvermoeibaar om deze theorie werkelijkheid te laten worden.Dit was een hele uitdaging; bijna een onmogelijke missie.We probeerden verschillende aanpassingen in het productieproces aan te brengen en introduceerden zelfs een nieuwe machine. Het feit dat onze Sire bassen ook bindingen hebben, maakte dit het buitengewoon uitdagend. Maar uiteindelijk hebben we de antwoorden gevonden en zijn we verheugd om de Rolled Fretboard Edges in al onze 2nd Generation modellen te presenteren.

Marcus Super-J Revolution pickups
We hebben de magnetiseermethode van de Alnico-magneet veranderd om een gelijkaardig verouderend geluid van een 20 jaar oude Heavy Formvar Pickup te imiteren. We hebben de spoel veranderd naar Plain Enamel en een programma geïnstalleerd in een spoel wikkelmachine die ons in staat stelde om bijna dezelfde snelheid en wikkel crossover hoek te belichamen als de handgemaakte wikkeling.We besloten om deze pickup technologie “Revolution Pickup Technology” te noemen.

Marcus Heritage-3 voorversterker
Het unieke voorversterkersysteem van SIRE is een perfect voorbeeld van onze technologie en filosofie die in onze instrumenten is geïntegreerd. Met meerdere toonregelaars hebben spelers totale controle om de perfecte toon te bereiken die zij wensen. Het gebruik van 18v batterijen stelt de speler in staat om onveranderde natuurlijke klanken te bereiken met sterke en krachtige outputs. Met de 3-bands EQ, zijn spelers in staat om een veelzijdigheid in geluiden uit te voeren die geschikt zullen zijn voor alle muzieksessies en optredens. Alle modellen zijn gebouwd met de optie van zowel actieve als passieve modi. Zelfs in de passieve modus zijn het volume, de toonregeling en de pickup balancer volledig functioneel, waardoor de spelers in elke modus meer controle over de klank hebben.

North American alder body
A popular choice for most bass guitars is the North American alder. Other basses at this price range commonly use basswood or agathis tone wood but Sire Guitars chooses the traditional North American alder which is known for its strong, clear full-bodied sound, with beefy mids and excellent lows that is perfect for the traditional jazz bass sound.

Bone nut
The nut is one of the most important parts of the guitar that influences the performance, playability, and tone of the instrument. Depending on the quality of the material and elasticity, the nut can either improve or degrade the sound. Although the bone nut is more costly and harder to work with, it is considered to deliver more balanced, clearer and smoother tones than plastic or other materials.

Ebony fingerboard
Ebony fingerboards are made with very dense wood that delivers clear, crisp, and well-rounded tones.

Marcus Heavy Mass bridge
Marcus Miller SIRE V7 bass is equipped with the newly designed Marcus Heavy Mass Standard Bridge which was specially developed at the request of Marcus Miller. This bridge has characteristics of a vintage jazz bass but with heavy mass saddles, giving the bass a rich and punchy sound. The new Marcus Heavy Mass Standard Bridge is a string-through body bridge mechanism that allows a tighter, more accurate, and stable tone.

Rolled fretboard edges
A true customshop feature
We have taken the overall playability to the next level with the rolled fingerboard edges. .What only custom shops can achieve, is now available in the Sire 2nd Gen series. These rounded edges will give players a firmer and more natural grasp, compared to the typical fretboards.We were well aware of the difficulties we would face in our ambition to apply the rolled fretboard edges in a mass production factory. Together with the production team, we worked tirelessly to make this theory a reality.This was quite a challenge, almost an impossible mission.We tried making several adjustments to the production process and even introduced a new machine. Since our Sire basses also have bindings, this made it exceptionally challenging, way beyond our imaginations. But eventually, we found the answers and we are ecstatic to present the Rolled Fretboard Edges in all our 2nd Generation models.

Marcus Super-J Revolution pickups
We have changed the Alnico Magnet’s magnetizing method to produce the similar aging sound of a 20-year-old Heavy Formvar Pickup. We have changed the coil to Plain Enamel and installed a program into a coil winding machine which enabled us to embody almost the same speed and winding crossover angle like the handmade winding.We decided to name this pickup technology “Revolution Pickup Technology.”

Marcus Heritage-3 Preamp
SIRE’s unique preamp system is a perfect example that represents our technology and philosophy that is integrated into our instruments.With multiple tone controls, players have total command to achieve the perfect tone they desire. The use of 18v batteries enables the player to attain unaltered natural sounds with strong and powerful outputs. With the 3-band EQ, players are able to carry out versatility in sounds that will be suited for all music sessions and performances. All models are built with the option of both active and passive modes. Even in the passive mode, the volume, tone, and pickup balancer are fully functional, giving the players more control of the tone in any mode.
